Like a River Glorious
Back of the Book:
For seven years, Adam Burke has been hiding.
Sheltered behind a wall of seclusion, Adam has concealed his scarred face and his broken heart. Then, without warning, his fortress begins to crumble. The cause? Corrine Hammond, a bewitching con artist who intrudes on his life hoping to relieve him of his vast wealth.
But Corrine brings with her Rachel, a young servant, whose haunted eyes and exquisite drawings stir Adam deeply—and somehow he knows his life will never be the same…
My Review:
I loved this book! The story line was original, and I didn’t feel like I was reading just another romance story. Lawana obviously did her homework, because the setting and terms used were perfect. The characters acted in ways that they were supposed to act, and everything flowed so smoothly. I can’t wait to read more of her books!
I also loved the message of God’s plan. He can craft things to happen in a way that will cause pleasure and happiness, even through pain. Go read it!
