My Review:

As you read this book the questions mount. Why doesn’t she want the people of Glenbrooke to know her real last name? How does she have a car and no money? Isn’t someone missing her? What secret is she hiding?

Robin did an excellent job of building suspense as the story progressed. When you finally find out what her secret is, it all makes sense.

One gift that Robin seems to have is an ability to write in humor. It’s not so noticeable in the beginning, but a student who goes to Mexico on a mission trip was constantly making jokes. Robin knows that everyone’s sense of humor is different, and she was able to write the characters differently and consistently throughout the book. I was pleasantly surprised to find a character like Bill in the middle of the book, and I loved all of the antics and jokes that were forth-coming. If only everyone had a "Bill" in their life. I don’t see how anyone would be able to stay mad for any length of time since life would be so funny. She showed how a seemingly depressing area can become one filled with joy.

I greatly enjoyed reading this book. Robin found innumerable ways of bringing God into all kinds of situations. She showed that He is always with us, no matter what. She showed how Jessica was finally able to surrender to God. That’s what we all need to do. Surrender our will in favor of His. His will is always what’s best of us. I finished this book with a warm, happy feeling. Everything turned out OK, and God is in control.

All reviews on this site are broken up into two parts. The first half is what the back of each book says. It is under copyright by the companies that published the books. I only reiterate it to give you a good understanding of what the book is about. The second half is my own personal review and should not be copied or otherwise taken without my express permission unless you give me credit for saying it and link back to the page it is posted on.
