Back of the Book:

Ever been on the verge of buying your own engagement ring?

Ashley Stockingdale, the charming but always-in-over-her-head patent attorney from What A Girl Wants, has finally found the man she wants to marry. But after nine months of dating, it seems her commitment-phobe boyfriend will never use the “M” word. And just when she thinks she’s got it all together, Ashley is having trouble knowing where to put it.

A massive remodeling project, a hyperactive puppy, and an ex-boyfriend who wants to be part of her life again all keep Ashley’s world spinning. As the mayhem escalates, Ashley’s life quickly goes from What a Girl Wants to out of control.

My Review:

I seem to be getting used to Kristin’s writing style. It didn’t strike me as different as before, but I guess that’s to be expected. I found this second book easier to read.

I liked finding out what happens to Ashley. I’m not sure I understood how she overcame her difficulties to level out the craziness of her life even though there was a little part at the end about it.

Parts of this book made me sad because I was rooting for a specific event to occur which ended up not occurring, but I think the ending was much more favorable to her. It sort of reminds me of my life, so I guess I relate well to it. I’m definitely going to read the third book to find out how the marriage plans work out. I’m excited about it, even.

All reviews on this site are broken up into two parts. The first half is what the back of each book says. It is under copyright by the companies that published the books. I only reiterate it to give you a good understanding of what the book is about. The second half is my own personal review and should not be copied or otherwise taken without my express permission unless you give me credit for saying it and link back to the page it is posted on.
