Speak to Me of Love
Back of the Book:
When Faith Butler finds herself and her two children stranded in Dead Horse, Wyoming, she has no choice but to take employment with mysterious recluse Drake Rutledge. As Faith shines in the light of hope and happiness in the dark halls of Drake's dismal mansion, Drake is forced out of the shadows that have hidden him for so long. Only this feisty Shakespearean actress and her irresistible children could cause such a change in Drake.
Then the shadows of Faith's past descend on them all, and they must turn to their Savior for light that can cut through even the deepest darkness...
My Review:
I know I said I don’t care for books set out west, but this truly was a tender and touching book. The characters were real, and you felt what they felt. The lesson taught about trusting in God's plan was perfect for the story and didn't sound preachy at all. I think I liked it because it had a woman moving into a large house to work for a man, and it seemed like a 19th Century England type of situation.
The author's end notes about the transformation of this book were quite nice to read. I felt like she really put in a lot of time and energy into writing this book with correct theology and the way God was leading her to write it..not doing it the way the publishing companies wanted her to.
Pick up this book for a nice, romantic read.
