Back of the Book:

Dr. Christina Alvarez: She arrived on the Caribbean island of Robert’s Foe armed with a lifelong dream—to find her ancestor’s sunken ship—and evidence that could lead to one of the greatest nautical discoveries of the century.

But when the only man who can help her turns away, headstrong Christina finds herself battling to win his trust and assistance…letting down her own guard and becoming more deeply involved in the professional—and personal—life of treasure hunter Mitch Crawford then she ever intended.

My Review:

If you like action-packed books, this is the book for you! There was always something going on in this book. There were misunderstandings, angry outbursts, running from "bad guys", flying across the country, scuba diving adventures, etc. It captures your attention and makes you wonder what’s going to happen next! The love story at the end is also heart-warming and creative.

While this is a Christian book, I don’t think I learned anything from it. The main characters called upon God when they were in trouble, and trusted Him to do what was right in their lives. However, it didn’t cause me to think about my own faith in a different light, like other books I’ve read.

I did enjoy the book, though. One thing I wasn’t too pleased with was the ending. They spend the entire book looking for Christina’s ship, and the ending was a real let-down. I won’t spoil it for those who haven’t read it. Do they find the ship? Is it what they’ve been looking for? I’ll let you read it to find out!

All reviews on this site are broken up into two parts. The first half is what the back of each book says. It is under copyright by the companies that published the books. I only reiterate it to give you a good understanding of what the book is about. The second half is my own personal review and should not be copied or otherwise taken without my express permission unless you give me credit for saying it and link back to the page it is posted on.
