Cross Stitch Page

This page displays all of the things I've stitched over the years.
They are shown in order of completion. Enjoy!

Noah's Ark

This is a shortened version of a very large Sampler which I found in the Jan/Feb 1987 issue of Cross Stitch & Country Crafts. I stitched it sometime around the year 1997, and it is one of the first things I ever stitched.

October

I got this pattern from a book called God's In His Heaven.
The design was made by Gloria & Pat, Inc.
I stitched this in 1998, and it took me a very long time to do.
I made some interesting mistakes, but you can't tell by looking at it, thankfully.

Cat in Chair

This design was a kit by Designs for the Needle, Inc.
I stitched it as a Christmas gift for my mom in 1999.
I ran out of time and had to decide what not to put on it. I like it better this way, anyway.

You probably noticed the yellow spots on it.
My dad was framing it himself and the adhesive he used to stick the cloth to the board soaked through. We put it in a place that is out of the way and not well lighted so most people don't notice the spots.

Plyaful Kittens

I got this design out of a magazine called Country Stitch.
It was in one of the Christmas issues in 1990, I think.
Anyway, I started it in 1999 and didn't get around to finishing it until 2000.
I think it's really cute.

Smiley

I made this sometime in the spring of 2001.
I got the pattern for the smiley off of http://www.hooahdesigns.com.
It was the free chart for May 2000.

"Smile! God Loves You!" has become my personal slogan, so I only thought it fitting to cross stitch it somehow.

Midnight Castle

I stitched this one in the summer of 2001.
It came from a booklet of designs by A Pegasus Publication called Castles, Dragons & Unicorns. I think this one only took me two or three weeks to complete. I worked almost non-stop on it.

Sparkling Castle

I got the pattern for this in the same place I got the previous one.
I finished this one in the summer of 2001.
It took me a little longer than the previous one because this one has more stitches.

Calico Kitten Face

I got this pattern free online from http://www.craftdesigns4you.com.
It is by Cherie Marie Leck.
I did this one in the fall of 2001 because I had a Calico kitty.

He Is Risen

This patterns is also by Cherie Marie Leck and can be found at the same website as said above. I also did this one in 2001.

Merlin's Retreat

I stitched this one in 2002. It's from Sue Marshall's "Camelot Collection".

Passing Saturn

This one is from the Stoney Creek Collection (book 226) called The Final Frontier. I've always wanted to make a space piece, and now I've finally been able to do it (in 2004). I love it!

Casting a Fly

This was a kit that I stitched for a friend as a gift in 2004.
I think the flies look really neat. I hadn't done one quite like this before. It is from a company called Dimensions.

All reviews on this site are broken up into two parts. The first half is what the back of each book says. It is under copyright by the companies that published the books. I only reiterate it to give you a good understanding of what the book is about. The second half is my own personal review and should not be copied or otherwise taken without my express permission unless you give me credit for saying it and link back to the page it is posted on.
